    Farron-Leigh Sharp

Farron Sharp began her professional life in the forests of Western Canada,
where she planted trees for a period of 8 years. Her work allowed her to
travel, explore and study unconventional therapies, which ultimately fostered a unique perspective of the body and paths to healing. She began studying herbal medicine at the Dominion Herbal College and graduated in 2011. While there she was first introduced to the links between stress and the disease state. In 2012 she attended a silent meditation retreat that focused on observing the sensations of the body. This retreat created a bridge between body sensation and state of mind, which further ignited her curiosity about the body mind connection. From there she studied as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist with a focus on plant foraging, and Raja Yoga with an emphasis on the Chakra System.

In 2017, Farron enrolled at the Canadian College of Massage and
Hydrotherapy in Toronto, Ontario. She graduated with a specialization
certificate in Hospital Placements. She completed placements in oncology,
geriatrics, continuous care, musculoskeletal rehab and the neonatal intensive care unit. During these placements, Farron developed a true passion for working with clients who experience chronic pain, stress, depression, and anxiety related to illness, injury or trauma.

Farron graduated in May of 2019, and brought her practice to Nova Scotia.
Her approach to bodywork is holistic and is informed by her education and
experiences. She integrates yogic energetic principles, breath work,
meditation, visualization, general Swedish massage, myofascial release,
passive stretching, joint play, hydrotherapy, and herbal aromatherapy. Farron believes we all contain the innate ability to heal and uses an intuitive approach to create the ideal environment for the body to access its resources. She helps clients achieve this through sleep, a state of relaxation, or by calming the parasympathetic system. She values holding space, body/mind education and compassionate listening to gently guide the body toward peace and the potential for deep release.

    Lucy Richard

Lucy is a Registered Massage Therapist through the Massage Therapists Association of Nova Scotia. Her journey to becoming an RMT likely started when she was very young. Having trained in ballet from the ages of 4 to 15, she became very interested in anatomy and body mechanics. She has now returned to practicing ballet as an adult with Cadance Academy.

Since graduating from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in May of 2017 she has developed her own unique style and approach to massage therapy. During school she received further training while practicing in two specialized clinic placements, one in chronic pain and arthritis treatment, and the other in pre and post natal massage. Her post graduate training so far includes an advanced course in treating jaw dysfunction, myofascial cupping therapy, jade stone massage and Indian ayurvedic head massage, to name a few. Her approach to treatment is guided by compassionate listening and thereby garnering the ability to tailor a treatment to meet your exact needs.

Her interests and hobbies in aromatherapy, yoga practice and ballet help further her passion for massage therapy, as well as other complementary professions. She believes in a holistic approach, taking into consideration all aspects of a person and their lifestyle. To fully practice holistically, she believes in recommendations to other health professionals when needed or possible. She is very passionate when it comes to educating her patients, whether it be about home-care, posture, safety and ergonomics, or keeping them well informed on her observations about their body and plans for treatments. This passion carries over when it comes to her own education, as she’s always ready to learn new techniques and treatments to be able to help more people.
